Drips, Stains and Scribbles

Story Time
In Sculpture I they teach you how to make hand casts like this. And basically, you heat up a giant vat of wax until it’s liquid, stick you hand in three times, then let it cool. After it cools, you stick your hand under cool water and gently pull it out. Then you use the wax cast to make a plaster mold.
You know how when you’re a kid (or even now) you would stick your finger in the wax pool around a burning candle? And it might hurt a little bit, but it was for the most part pretty tolerable? Not so tolerable when it’s your entire friggin’ hand. There was lots of screaming and cursing involved, and I only had to do it twice.
