Today is a special day! We’re doing our first (and probably only) in-depth feature on Hieronymus Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delights. Though not particularly baby-related, this triptych is almost certainly the most WTF-worthy, balls-trippingly weird piece of art to come out of the Renaissance era. We’ve collected a few detail shots to illustrate just how fucking bizarre this piece is. Captions can do this masterpiece no justice, so we’ll just leave the images to speak for themselves. Buttflowers.

Hey, I’m a Drawing/Printmaking Interdisciplinary Fine Arts major at Kent State, and I’m starting to kind of research graduate schools. I’m not entirely sure what programme I want to enter (Photography, Printmaking, and Art History all seem pretty cool), but right now I’m mainly looking at good printmaking schools.
I’m intrigued by Rhode Island School of Design’s programme, which was ranked #2 in the country. If anyone can give me any personal insight into the programme, feel free to do that.
Hey all, I’m in a class called Digital Media at the moment, and we have a final video project that I’ve been postponing for a lack of any ideas. Having little time to start a stop-motion animation, and few real life friends willing to put up with my antics, my strengths are a bit limited here.
Except wait! I have online friends! And my online friends have online friends! Hell, I belong to a community chock-full of online friends! Brilliant! And everyone loves talking about themselves, right?
So it all comes down to YOU:
I’ll be assembling a short list of questions and basically all I need you to do is record yourself answering all or some of them, then send it to me for compilation and editing. It’ll be pretty basic stuff: What’s your name, where are you located, where/how did you meet your best online friend/significant other, etc.
I need somewhere between four and ten people, so if you’re willing please contact me as soon as possible. Your individual video doesn’t have to be particularly long. It can be 30 seconds or 10 minutes, I don’t care. And if you’re cool with giving out your first name, general location (state if you’re inside the US, country if you’re outside the US), and personal information about your internet-past, you don’t even have to know me! Just contact me for the questions and send me the video ASAP!
If you’re not comfortable being filmed but think this is a neat idea, please reblog! With the consent of the participants I am willing to post the video later for everyone to see, but if you don’t want it posted, the only people that will be seeing it are my professor, me, and a class of about 12 art students in Ohio. And they honestly couldn’t care less about your acne/horrible band t-shirt/stutter/messy hair/WHATHAVEYOU.
I can be contacted here on tumblr, on Facebook or at chensle2@kent.edu.
Oh man, I totally want to start a series of installation projects where teams of artists break into abandoned buildings and just set stuff up.
Like, entire shows. Graffiti, but with mattes and frames that can’t be easily removed. Sculptures that are integrated into the building.
And then we’d leave everything just as we found it, and tell no one. So that eventually some other rebellious spirits would just wonder in for the sake of adventure/curiosity, and be treated to their own private exhibit.
We could post a sign that welcomed anonymous submissions as long as they did not interfere with the other pieces. If it hasn’t been renovated yet, I know the perfect place to host one in Asheville, NC. and a still-abandoned hotel in Kent, OH. You just find an abandoned building, wait until nightfall, set it all up and leave before morning.
I’m sure this already exists, because it’s too wonderful not to. If you have any information on it, please tell me.
Alright, guys, I need you to do me a favour.
I need you to look at this image
while listening to Mutt-Blink 182
Just trust me on this.
(Alternatively, all I can imagine him saying is “Da club can’t even handle me right now.” This has been a continuing problem while trying to seriously reproduce this image for class.)

Doing this. This is becoming a thing right now. I want everyone to see how ridiculous this is.
